Following is a look at this week’s NFL schedule and some historical stats on each of the head-to-head matchups.
Indianapolis @ Chicago: Chicago has won five of the last seven… this is only the second time the two teams have met since they played in the Super Bowl on February 4, 2007… the Bears have won two of the last three games in Chicago.
Philadelphia @Cleveland: The Eagles have won five of the last seven contests… Cleveland’s last home win over Philadelphia was on October 16, 1988…
St. Louis @Detroit: Detroit has won four of the last six games against the Rams in Detroit… the two teams have split the last four games (since 2000) in Detroit… the Lions 44-6 win over the Rams in their last matchup (October 10, 2010) was the biggest margin of victory in the series.
Miami @ Houston: Houston has won all six games in the series between the teams… Five of the six games have been decided by seven points or less; four of the six have been decided by a field goal or less… the three games in Houston were decided by a total of six points.
Atlanta @ Kansas City: The Chiefs hold a 5-2 advantage in the all-time series… Kansas City has not lost to the Falcons in Kansas City (3-0)… the two teams have split the last four matchups… three of the last four games have been decided by 20 points or more.
Jacksonville @Minnesota: The two franchises have played only four times with the Vikings winning three… the Vikes have won two of three in Minnesota.
Washington @ New Orleans: Washington holds a 15-8 advantage all-time in the series… the teams have split the last eight games… the Redskins have won the last three games in New Orleans and six of the last seven on the Saints home field.
Buffalo @ New York Jets: The Jets have won the last five contests between the two teams… the Jets have won three of the last four at home in the series… Buffalo’s last win on the road in the series was on October 18, 2009.
New England @ Tennessee: New England has won the last four games against the Titans… the teams have played twice in Tennessee since 2000 and both won a game… the Patriots defeated the Titans 59-0 in the last meeting between the teams (October 18, 2009)
Seattle @ Arizona: The Cardinals hold a slight 14-12 advantage in the all-time series… Seattle has won three of the last four… Arizona has won five of the last six games played in Arizona… the Cardinals have scored only 61 points in the last four games in the series.
San Francisco @ Green Bay: The Packers have won the last eight games in the series and have won 13 of the last 14… the last time the Packers lost to the 49ers in Green Bay was on November 4, 1990… the Packers have scored 20 or more points in 16 straight games against San Francisco.
Carolina @ Tampa Bay: Carolina holds a 14-9 advantage in the series… the Panthers have won five of the last seven games… Carolina is also 7-2 in the last nine games in Tampa Bay… the Bucs gave up 86 points in their two losses to Carolina last year.
Pittsburgh @ Denver: The Broncos have won seven of the last 10 games against the Steelers in Denver… Denver holds a 17-10-1 series advantage… Broncos have won five of the last seven matchups.
Cincinnati @ Baltimore (Monday): Baltimore has won the last three games after the Bengals had won three straight… the Ravens have won four of the last six in Baltimore… each of the last six games have been decided by 10 points or less.
San Diego @ Oakland (Monday): Oakland has won three of the last four contests… San Diego has won 14 of the last 17 games in the series… this is the tenth time these two teams have met on Monday Night Football; the Raiders hold a 5-4 advantage… the Chargers have won the last two Monday night matchups… Oakland has won only one of the last eight games against the Chargers in Oakland.
