Green Bay Packers fans will notice that the start of the 2012 season has a certain symmetry to it. There was a loss, a win, a loss, a win, a loss, and a win. Kinda neat, huh?

Well, it’s a pretty good bet that Mike McCarthy and the rest of the Packers organization would like to see this pattern come to a screeching halt this coming Sunday as the Packers travel to St. Louis to take on the Rams. This “lose one, win one” pattern will certainly not help their push for a playoff berth.

But if you can take a positive from this “loss-win” start, it’s that the team has recovered well after its three losses with three wins.

In fact, the Packers are the only team this year that have a 3-0 record in games following losses this season. Five teams (Indianapolis, New York Giants, Pittsburgh, Seattle and St.Louis) are each 2-0 in games after a loss.

If we take a look back to 2009, we see that the Packers are one of only two teams that have won 80 percent or more of their games after a loss. The Pack is 12-3 in games after a loss going back to the start of the 2009 season, while the Baltimore Ravens hold the top spot in this category with a 14-2 record (.875 winning percentage) in games after a defeat.

Following are each teams’ records in games following a loss since 2009. (Through games of October 14, 2012.)
