Russell Wilson continues double-threat assault on NFL

wilson

Seattle’s Russell Wilson on Monday night led the Seahawks to a 27-17 win over Washington by throwing for 201 yards and rushing for another 122 yards. He was Seattle’s leading rusher for the game.

Wilson’s 200 yards passing and 100 yards rushing was the 12th time in NFL history that a quarterback reached those numbers in a game. It was the second time for Wilson; he did last season in a game versus Indianapolis when he rushed for 102 yards on 13 carries and threw for 210 yards in Seattle’s 34-28 loss to Indianapolis.

Wilson became the third QB in league history to reach the 200 yards passing-100 yards rushing mark in the same game twice in a career. He joins Michael Vick and Donovan McNabb.

Here’s a look at the 12 times when a QB had over 200 yards passing and 100 yards rushing in the same game. (Did you notice that Wilson accomplished his two games on the same date?)

October 6, 2014: Russell Wilson, Seattle (201 passing, 122 rushing)
October 6, 2013: Russell Wilson, Seattle (210 passing, 102 rushing)
