What’s more heartbreaking for an NFL fan… seeing their team get blown out, or seeing their team lose a close game that maybe they could of (and/or should of) won? What’s more heartbreaking for an NFL team’s players, coaches and executives?

Over the past five NFL regular seasons (2010-14), there have been 287 games that were decided by three points or less (not counting tie games). That accounted for about 22.5 percent of the losses in that five-year period. The Miami Dolphins have lost the most games by three points or less since 2010 with 16, while the Baltimore Ravens have lost the highest  percentage of three points or less lost games. The Ravens have lost 28 games since 2010 with 11 of them being by three points of less, 39.3 percent.
