Baltimore Orioles pitcher Dylan Bundy pitched a complete game one-hitter in his team’s victory over the Seattle Mariners last night. It was the fourth complete game one-hitter pitched this season and the third in the last eight days.
Nolan Ryan and Bob Feller hold the MLB record for most complete game one-hitters with 12 each. Bobo Newsom and Steve Carlton follow Ryan and Feller with six each, while seven pitchers (Don Sutton, Dave Stieb, Tom Seaver, Jim Palmer, Jim Maloney, Phil Douglas and Bert Blyleven) each had five complete game one-hitters in their careers.
The Brewers have had seven complete game one-hitters in franchise history: C.C. Sabathia (in 2008), Teddy Higuera (1987), Danny Darwin (1985), Moose Haas (1985), Jim Colborn (1973) and Skip Lockwood did it twice in 1972.
