NFL Hall of Fame welcomes new class

Sports Stats ‘on Tapp’ is a biweekly blog published every Wednesday and Sunday

On Saturday August 6, six players will be inducted into pro football’s Hall of Fame. The six: Richard Dent, Marshall Faulk, Chris Hanburger, Les Richter, Deion Sanders and Shannon Sharpe.

With his induction, Richter joins a unique group: Richter played in 112 NFL games, fourth fewest of those players in the Hall of Fame. Gale Sayers tops the list with only 68 NFL games played in his Hall of Fame career.

Following are the NFL Hall of Famers who played in the fewest number of games in their career.
